The Science Times has published an article on the Polish vampire graves recently discovered. There is speculation that they are cholera victims that might have been helped into their graves by hoards of villagers and their pitch forks – unsettling echoes of early vampire accounts such as Calmet and Tournefort here but also sinister folk Gothic aka The Wicker Man!! Found it interesting that they included a section Folk Gothic at the BL Terror and Imagination show!
